Ottawa is Canada's capital city, rich in history and home to the seat of the Canadian government. It promises sightseeing and attractions that are cultural and entertaining. Start your weekend getaway at the architecturally stunning National Gallery of Canada, don't miss the Canadian Nature Museum and the National Aviation Museum, enjoy the Rideau Canal that offers boating in the summer and ice-skating in the winter as well as Gatineau Park attracting cyclists and walkers. Greatly appreciated are the Rugged Great Lakes coastlines, ancient Canadian Shield mountains, countless rivers and lakes, pristine beaches and exceptionally snowy winters provide a world-class outdoor backdrop for all kinds of adventures.
